Integration, Von der Leyen: Albania is moving at record speed
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that Albania has moved at record speed towards European integration and also added that she will support our country in closing negotiations by 2027.

" Albania is on the right track for integration into the European Union. I want to emphasize that it is a wonderful progress, record speed. Your goal is to close the negotiations in 2027 and we will be with you every step of the way ," said Von der Leyen in Tirana, at a press conference with Prime Minister Rama.

" Because the geopolitical moment is now. Russia's aggression against Ukraine has reshaped our continent and every European country must choose its place. Albania has made its choice quite clear .  "
