SPAK's investigation to complete the file against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, apart from Albania, has been extended to five other countries.
The announcement of the Special Prosecutor closes with the thanks that this structure addresses to the authorities of the United States of America, Austria, Italy, San Marino and Cyprus. The complete SPAK file extends the investigation at least 15 years in time, while the authorities of the five countries briefly mentioned in the SPAK announcement have provided data that the three prosecutors of the case have assessed as important for the investigation.
In the USA, against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, there is a lobbying file with at least 400 thousand dollars, which were not declared in the annual balances that the Socialist Movement for Integration has deposited in the Central Election Commission. The importance of the reflected data and figures has prompted SPAK to suspect that the money in question is the source of corruption.
Payments for lobbying in the USA were made from Cyprus, while there were public accusations against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi for secret accounts on this island. Investigations in Italy and San Marino have been extended in relation to the public accusations of aesthetic intervention by Monika Kryemadhi, the cost of which was not declared by the deputy in the form of declaration of assets.
In Austria, the cooperation of the authorities there has been requested to provide data on a surgical intervention allegedly performed by Ilir Meta a few months ago. SPAK has secured the financial invoices of these interventions and suspects that the money for these payments has as its source the corruption extended over the years by the Meta-Kryemadhi couple.
