DASH's reaction to Top News:
State Department Press Office
The American people gave President Trump a mandate to root out inefficiencies throughout the federal government. The Secretary has worked diligently since taking office to review every dollar spent at the U.S. Department of State and USAID to ensure that taxpayer resources are being used to make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous.
To date, the State Department and USAID have reviewed approximately 15,600 foreign assistance contracts and grants.
The actions the administration is taking are undoing decades of waste, fraud, and abuse. As Secretary Rubio said, "In the long run it will be beneficial because we will be able to say that every program that we are out there operating serves the national interest because it makes us safer, stronger, or more prosperous."
