The Prime Minister of Bavaria Markus Soder declared today from Tirana that today marks the great support of this state for Albania's EU membership.
Soder emphasized that there will be investments from Bavaria in Albania and that the agreements signed this Monday will strengthen cooperation in many sectors.
"I emphasize a win-win situation," Soder said.
"Europe will be strong only if the relations between the states are strengthened. It is not about building artificial bridges, we share feelings of appreciation for the government and great hope for what will be done. With today's agreements, we have established a joint governmental commission. We will apply agreements related to the sector of justice, economy, technology, agriculture in which we have very close relations. We will advance aspects of agricultural development. Then the topic is education and culture, we will build here a Bavarian house with Bavarian culture. Our houses until now were mostly in ethno culture, Bavarian enterprises are also important, which are among the most powerful in Europe, the GDP of Bavaria is as big as that of Saudi Arabia.
We will open a contact office here that will work in both directions, to support investments, qualifications and vice versa. No one will stop those who want to come to the EU, so that people from Albania do not work for us, different professions. I emphasize a win-win situation. I think that it is a day that proves the very good relations, we want to work further in this direction and we as Bavaria are happy to come here as partners hoping that Albania will find the way to the EU as soon as possible and exercising support ours in Brussels", said Soder.
