The leader of the Democratic parliamentary group, Gazmend Bardhi, delivered his speech at the opposition protest in front of the prime minister's office this Monday.
Bardhi said that with all this corruption coming to light from the Balluk and AKSHI files, Rama and the Deputy Prime Minister, as well as the gangs behind them, want citizens to remain silent.
He further adds that the citizens have all this time resisted this gang in power and today they have their say to bring about change and the removal of Edi Rama from power.
Bardhi: Your strength has become our common hope. The trust you give to the DP and the Albanian opposition at a time of the reign of corruption. The magnificent presence means that the Albanian community still has a heart and loves change. I have heard your concerns. The fatigue and in every meeting I have had with you, I have received a message from you, you do not give up. From you in this square and in every meeting I have learned the greatest lesson that sacrifice and faith have kept us on our feet. They will lead us forward for the removal of Edi Rama, the most corrupt prime minister in Europe and the world. I am before you, because this protest is not only against a government but for faith and the future.
We are here because corruption is taking our breath away because drug cartels are stealing our children's future. Edi Rama Belinda Balluku criminal gangs and cartels want us to be afraid to be silent, to lower our heads, to think that we are hopeless. To believe that in this country everyone is the same. They are wrong that evil will not triumph. We tell the thieves that their time is up. It is the time of honest citizens that when the government steals, it steals your life, your future. I also have a message for those who would like to be here but look at us from home with suspicion. This is the protest of people who no longer want to be oppressed. We are not afraid. The foundations of this government have been shaken. It is afraid that the truth has come out because it knows that when this people wake up, they will not stop. The courage not to be silent, not to give up, because history is not changed by those who wait. No power falls with prayer, with silence, but no power can be surrendered to a people who will not surrender. We do not wait for someone else to fight this battle. We will not remain silent.
We will stand in the squares. Strong, with sacrifice, with faith in each other. Edi Rama must be clear, he will have the citizens facing him until his departure. Fear has changed sides. The government is reacting, justifying itself. It is scared by its own crimes. You are not asked to believe in an individual. You are asked to believe in yourself that no regime has fallen from speeches, only when the people no longer accepted humiliation. Do not bow down, stand today, resistance tomorrow, victory soon for Albania.
