France and Albania sign agreement for the modernization of the Armed Forces

Minister of Defense, Piro Vengu, hosted his French counterpart on an official visit to Tirana. The meeting took place at the "Skënderbej" garrison and during this meeting a technical agreement was signed for the modernization of the Armed Forces.

French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu expressed France's willingness to be a strong ally in this process, while his Albanian counterpart, Piro Vengu, emphasized the strategic importance of this agreement.

"We signed an agreement on the modernization of our air force, a clear indicator of our progress. We see in common the challenges for the Ukrainian people and finding solutions for the alliance and the direction of the alliance and increasing the defense budget and the European military industry. And the revitalization of the army, also with the help of France," said Vengu.
