This morning, five opposition members of the Mandates Council called a meeting of the Council at 11:00.

However, the meeting did not take place, as the door to the hall was closed and the deputies could not enter to perform their duties.

The event has caused an interruption in the normal development of the works of the Mandates Council.

According to the DP, Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi has ordered the closure of the Council meeting room.

Oerd Bylykbashi states that 'we made this request, but the president refuses to call the rest of the members, blocking an important constitutional process. We are waiting here for the Assembly to set us the conditions for this meeting to be functional, but here we are, the president of the Assembly has blocked it, the door is closed'.
