A start-up agency will be created to help young entrepreneurs.
The Minister of State for the Protection of Entrepreneurship, Edona Bilali, announced that today at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the amendment to the law on the support and development of start-ups was approved.
"We intend to increase the efficiency of the distribution of these funds, but also to shorten the time of disbursement of grants. We think that both of these changes will constitute an innovation in terms of this target group that has great potential in the Republic of Albania".
With the changes made, digital nomads will no longer be treated as tax residents.
" The legal changes are made mainly as a result of the inclusion of a concept, which is the digital nomads, which according to the law are known as mobile digital workers.
It is an initiative that has been embraced by many countries around the world. In Albania, there are about 100 nomads who operate and through the legal regulation, they will no longer be considered tax residents and will have the right to work from Albania for the whole world for up to one year", explained Bilali .
