The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, repeated the call to Albanians to protest until the "removal of the regime of Edi Rama", who, according to him, undertook one of the most serious acts in the history of Albanian-American relations, after that of 1946, when the friendly country's embassy also left.
"For DP, the McGonigal scandal is one of the most serious acts in the history of American-Albanian relations after the departure of the US embassy in 1946 by Enver Hoxha, and it will remain in memory for a long time. I think that every Albanian has a major obligation to give Rama the deserved answer because he hired a paid assassin for the execution of PD and pluralism. To give a final answer to Rama as a vicious enemy of our main ally, as a treacherous man who vented the hatred of his fathers against the USA, or the blindness of power makes him capable of any action to stay in power. The time has come for every Albanian to speak up, to stand up to the country to remove this rot, which is getting blacker and blacker in every direction. We have denounced scandal after scandal these months, but the world has been surprised by the tolerance towards these scandals".
The head of the DP did not forget to mention Lulzim Basha's reaction to the McGonigal scandal, which according to him was summarized in 4 lines and did not mention Rama's name in it and no longer that of the former FBI agent.
"Basha made a 4-line note where he did not dare to mention Edi Rama, let alone McGonigal. Look how they want to pass the scandal of the century, which damages the image of Albanians in the USA. The Americans are shocked by this event, for them, he is the prime minister of Albania who is stabbing the USA by exploiting an unworthy man", concluded Berisha.
