Basha continues the "race" for the head of the DP, meeting with the
Former chief democrat Lulzim Basha

Former Chief Democrat Lulzim Basha held a meeting with supporters in the "Ali Demit" area in Tirana.

During his speech, Basha stated that the Democratic Party will create a broad alliance with the citizens, which, according to him, will oppose the fear and uncertainty that has plagued the country.

He promised that as the next president of the DP, one of the priorities of the opposition is the opening of this political force to young people.

Basha is running for the post of head of the Democratic Party of "vula" against the former persecuted political figure Gjergj Hani.

Basha's reaction:

The opening of the Democratic Party to young men and women is one of our priorities.

Harmonizing the spirit and passion of youth with the experience and professionalism of the contributors over the years is an important step in the reorganization that we have started, to give Albanians a better alternative.

Of course, all those who want change will be part of it, who want the government and the deputies to be decided by the citizens and not by the criminal gangs that today control the state, the economy, the police, the elections, the life of the country.

We will create a broad political and civic alliance, so that the fear and insecurity that plagues our society can be countered with hope and the belief that things can change for the better, giving importance to the citizens' vote, which starts with the undoing of the constitutional amendments of 2008.

So that the voice of the citizens is heard, their will is represented and their interests are protected, we will work hard so that the constitutional mechanisms are at their service, opening the lists, cleaning up politics through vetting, limiting the prime minister's mandate, guaranteeing the vote of the diaspora, giving more powers to the Parliament and the President of the Republic, to guarantee checks and balances of power.
