Socialist Party Assembly, Prime Minister Rama starts SPEECH with the emergency

The Socialist Party Assembly has begun at the Palace of Congresses, where the assembled members are listening to the speech of Socialist leader Edi Rama.

Rama: Today the rain has our business, because it is falling heavily to announce the blessing of the work for Albania 2030 in the EU. Honorable National Assembly, we have gathered in this first meeting of our most challenging 4-year term, to open the chapter of our fourth mandate, which officially begins in a few days with the swearing-in of the Assembly.

We will address the emergency created in the direction of Tirana. I want to say that at the beginning, as clearly as possible, what I believe we should all share together on the relationship with justice.

The Socialist Party has never in any case earned the respect of justice, especially when it has not fully spoken its mind.

We have never said it by acting as anyone's lawyer, even when it may not seem right to us.

We will have no regrets about the freedom and independence we have given to justice with the reform and, above all, with the historic withdrawal of majority power from the field of the judiciary.

Through the reform, we have removed the hands of the executive from every process of selection and election, dismissal of prosecutors and judges.
