Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the arrest of the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the municipality of Himara, Fredi Beleri, who is accused of buying and selling votes.

Through a post on Twitter, Rama writes that the battle of the SP with the candidate has nothing to do with the investigations and therefore, according to him, one should not come up with political conclusions without giving the last word to justice.

"The arrest of the opposition candidate for Himara F. Beleri by order of the prosecutor's office constitutes a great test for justice on the eve of the elections, which means that the violation of the law on his part must be proven and his arrest legally motivated!

Our battle with that candidate has nothing to do with the investigations or the conclusions of the prosecutor's office, therefore, respecting the complete independence of the judicial bodies, I call on everyone not to rush to political conclusions while patiently waiting for the word and evidence of justice." - writes Rama.
