After the arrest of the guard Martin Nikolli, who was involved in a conflict two days ago in Hamallaj, the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, met this morning with leaders and officers of the Guard of the Republic.

In his speech, Minister Balla stated that the reactions will be immediate for anyone who violates ethical norms during the exercise of duty and outside of it.

He promised that he will do everything to guarantee the best possible financial treatment for all levels of the structure of the Guard of the Republic.

Although today I am here to address a problem of a phenomenon that should never happen again to any employee of the Guard of the Republic, related to a case made public recently, where naturally our action was immediate, and this action will be immediate in all cases where a member of this honorable Republican Guard will violate the ethical norms of functioning, being and having the honor of being a member of the Republican Guard. I want to say to each of you that being a member of the Guard of the Republic is an honor. And in fact, over the years, the Guard of the Republic, as the Commander said, has had and continues to have successes in preserving personalities, but also in the organization of many important international meetings, as we had the summit last year, even if we will have the Berlin Process summit again on October 16, an important activity, where the Guard of the Republic bears the greatest responsibility for its success . But, nevertheless, what is very important to me is that we must continue to increase the support for the Guard of the Republic, either in infrastructure or in technology".
