The police arrested two people suspected of killing Gentian Bejtjat. Citizens Ilir Beqaraj and Edison Haxhiu fell into police custody.

Regarding these arrests, Interior Minister Taulant Balla reacted. He congratulated the police for the work done in relation to the event that happened in Fushë Krujë, while adding that he expects results from other criminal events that happened in Vlorë, Lezhë and Shkodër.

The reaction of Minister Taulant Balla:

The duty of the State Police is to prevent or solve any criminal event and bring the culprits to justice. I have just congratulated the leaders of the Tirana Local Police Directorate for the investigative work so far in the direction of clarifying the criminal event a few days ago in Fushë-Krujë.

I also expect results in terms of identifying the perpetrators of the events in Vlorë, Lezhë and Shkodër. Authors or orderers of criminal events can hide for a while, inside and outside the country, they can try to avoid extradition, but the duty of the State Police is to find them wherever they are hiding and bring them to justice. This requires continuous investigative work and cooperation with partner agencies and citizens, whose information is very valuable. Two persons wanted by justice have been detained/extradited during the last 24 hours.
