The leader of DUI and founder of the National Liberation Army, Ali Ahmeti, in his speech at the protest for the release of former KLA leaders, said that the accusations against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army are fabricated by dark Serbian-Russian circles.

Ahmeti stated that the KLA has been and remains an ally of the US and the EU, adding that it has respected all the laws of war.

He called on all Albanians to join the rallies in support of the KLA war, as according to him, that war was a war of liberation.

"Dear freedom fighters, thank you Albania, thank you mother. You welcomed us like a mother and her sons. I wanted to greet Alfed Moisiu, who himself was a freedom fighter. Today we are together, Tirana, Pristina and Skopje, may we always be like this. Our fight was just, it was for our doorstep, for friendship with the USA and the EU. The genesis of the Special Court is in the Serbian-Russian fabrications. Some time later, Dick Marty reactivated this topic in the media again with Serbian-Russian orders, which led to the establishment of the Special Court. This court was founded by Kosovo. The indictment is a recycling of previous accusations against Haradinaj and Fatmir Limaj. Today they are being tried as liberators, they took up the rifle to protect their doorstep from the Serbian genocide. The KLA has never violated the laws of war and this has been proven to this day in all international courts. The KLA has been and remains a partner of "The US and the EU," Ahmeti declared.
