Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj claims that he was threatened while he is on the run in Switzerland, after some media published photos of the apartment where he is staying.

In an interview with journalist Çim Peka, Ahmetaj told the three episodes where, according to him, he was intercepted or confronted by Albanian citizens whom he said he knew and managed to photograph.

In one case, Ahmetaj claimed that three citizens had gone near his apartment and photographed the premises. In another case, he said that a citizen had entered the elevator with him, and had started "muttering abuse" at him.

Ahmetaj also said that his little daughter was provoked in Tirana, but without giving details on this case.

"We live in a house under normal conditions. My mother or Erjola's parents have an opportunity to stay and sleep. This is the aspect of pseudo-luxury. He was a direct threat, after that release I had two episodes. An episode where three Albanian citizens, one of them residing in Switzerland, whom I know, I will tell them by name if necessary one day, came and took photos at the door of the palace.
