With just a few weeks left until the end of the diaspora registration process to participate in the May 11 parliamentary elections, Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again appealed to all citizens living outside Albania and who have the right to vote according to the documents they have.
From the headquarters of the Socialist Party, through a post on social networks in the "What's new?" section, Prime Minister Rama reminded all Albanians to hurry to complete the registration in order to be part of a historic vote where the diaspora votes for the first time.
" Good morning once again, because, once I greeted you in writing, now here from the Socialist Party, 22 days from the end of the voter registration in the diaspora. May 11 will be a historic vote, also due to the fact that for the first time, Albanians in Europe and the whole world will vote from abroad, from where they are, by mail. But who will become part of this new history for our democracy must register by March 4, because voting is done by mail and the time to deliver the ballot to each voter's home with a prepaid envelope and for the return is necessary time ", says Edi Rama.
According to the head of government, the results offered so far by the registration process of citizens living abroad seem promising and he believes that their words will influence the future of Albania, which the prime minister sees as respected by Europe like never before.
"So far, the number of results is promising, but undoubtedly, it can and should be much greater. The word of every Albanian abroad is valid. The judgment of everyone who sees the progress of our common Albania from a reasonable distance is valid and I can't wait to see what the judgment of Albanians and Albanians of Europe and the world will be, for Albania freed from the black shadow of prejudices of yesterday, for Albania respected by Europe and the world like never before, for Albania that in our fourth mandate will take the final step of membership in the European Union", said Rama.
Finally, Prime Minister Rama emphasizes that such a process should not be delayed and left for the last day, encouraging all citizens with the right to vote to become part of a historic moment on the path to democracy, so that Albania, thanks to their contribution, becomes part of the united European family, alongside the other 27 member states of the European Union.
"Register, register, register, and don't leave it for the last day, when the CEC website may load and then become much more difficult. It is very simple, from a computer or phone, a few minutes to become part of a historic moment on the path of our democracy to participate in the May 11 elections where all together we will lead Albania forward towards the much-dreamed-of peak of 2030, where we will plant the Albanian flag in the row of the 27 other flags of the united family", said Rama.
