The deputy of the DP, Jorida Tabaku, spoke about the result of the opposition in the 14th elections, saying that all the democrats should accept the mistakes they have made and reflect to become an alternative, not a rejection of the Albanians.

"I waited for the counters to finish their work. I have the same attitude I had since the beginning of September. I appealed to all those who are in the DP, it doesn't matter who thinks differently, that the DP should be together and have a unified offer. I called for each of us to think more than our own personal interests, I called for PD to change its mindset, change its offer, change its behavior.

At this moment, I asked not to repeat the mistakes of the past, to reflect, not to continue with the same excuses, but to go through a process that takes time, but to give time to the democrats and ourselves to understand where they went wrong. If we had changed the DP's offer, we would have given way not to scum, not to scum, not to attack, not to division, but to unity and the DP's offer to 1, the situation would be different. The moment has come for us to reflect and behave differently. Albania needs a strong opposition. We have to see for ourselves what we did wrong. Let's accept that PD is neither bigger, nor more united, nor stronger than what the results showed. We cannot be the rejection of the Albanians, but the alternative", said Tabaku.

As for the resignation of Enkelejd Alibeaj, Tabaku said that it was unexpected for him.

She did not make a comment on whether she will accept the temporary leadership of the Democratic Party, but said that the steps to be taken will be discussed with the Democrats.

"We are still discussing how to overcome this impasse. Alibeaj's resignation was unexpected for me. I assure that every step that will be taken will be discussed with colleagues and democrats. It is not bad to have ambition in politics, but in this case, for me, the main ambition was and is that of the Democrats, none personal", said Tabaku.
