Meanwhile, after the meeting with his group, Enkelejd Alibeaj gave a statement to the media.
During his speech, Alibeaj stated that the issue of local elections was at the center of this meeting, as he did not prefer to make public any details about what was decided.
Alibeaj has stated that tomorrow it will be known how they will enter the elections, as according to him the names will be made official tomorrow.
"First there was the meeting of the Presidency, then there was also the meeting of the parliamentary group. Tomorrow will be the meeting of the College of Presidents. The issue of the elections has a public impact, and the discussion will take place with all the forums to see them all. Tomorrow will be the meeting of the College of Presidents. Until they become official, make do with the information so far. It will officially be tomorrow. I am prudent and selective enough not to make individual decisions and this is a good example to be set. In elections and in any other political decision-making that should go towards the interests of the democrats and Albanians, everyone's mature opinion. Tomorrow you will find out everything. The final decision will be made by the Presidency, the parliamentary group and the College of Presidents. Tomorrow it will take its final form".
Asked why he chose to be accompanied by the guard right now, Alibeaj said that he never wanted such a thing, adding that it is an obligation of the guard before the elections.
Enkelejd Alibeaj: "I have never wanted to be a guard, it is an obligation of the guard to be accompanied in election situations, I walk alone."
Alibeaj was also asked by journalists if he feels threatened, to which he answered with the words: Never, never.
