The family of Chanel actress Maya Banks is in despair after the 36-year-old mysteriously disappeared in Los Angeles for two weeks.

According to the relatives, her husband refuses to cooperate with the police in finding her.

Chanel, best known for her role on Gossip Girl as Sawyer Bennett, disappeared while staying at her Playa Vista apartment with her husband.

The mother, Judy Singh, and her cousin, Danielle-Tori Singh, traveled to California to help with the search. When they entered the apartment, they found most of her personal belongings, including her dog and car, while her cellphone and laptop were missing.

The family's concern grew when they discovered that Chanel's husband, to whom she has been married since last year, is not cooperating with the police and refuses to give information. "He is not willing to help the police or us to find him," her cousin said.

She also reported that the husband is taking down the posters put up for the search for Chanel.

Danielle-Tori Singh says Chanel's disappearance is disturbing, as she communicated with her family every day. At the same time, her relatives are worried about the signs of injuries on her husband's face and body, which appeared on November 10. However, the police have told the family that they are currently not suspected of any criminal activity by the husband and cannot be prosecuted without sufficient evidence.

To aid their efforts, the family has set up a GoFundMe page, raising money to cover the costs of a private investigator and their stay in Los Angeles. Danielle addressed Chanel in her message saying: “We love you so much. We just want to know you're okay and safe.”
