If there are so many galaxies, stars and planets, then where are the aliens and why have we not heard from them? These are questions that everyone asks. But now a study has revealed when humanity may have its first contact with extraterrestrials.

Experts from Peking University think that in the best case, another 2000 years are needed, while in the worst case, a full 400 thousand years.

"As the most intelligent being on Earth, the biggest mystery we have is whether we are unique or not. "Whether or not there are communicative civilizations in the galaxy will remain a hypothesis, until we have the first contact," reads the study.

A previous study, by the University of Nottingham, in 2020, concluded that there are 36 extraterrestrial communicative civilizations.

A month ago, scientists unveiled their plans to send a radio message into space, with Earth coordinates. This message is a new version of the famous Arecibo message, which was sent in 1974, in the hope that it will be perceived by extraterrestrial civilizations.
