Vittoria Sgarbi, former MP and great Italian art critic, has published a photo on his social networks with his Albanian daughter, Alba.

"In Alba's hands, the tenderness of a daughter, which fills a father's heart," he writes.

Alba has long been a child that her father refused to recognize, although Vitorio Sgarrbi had had a sentimental adventure with her mother, Kozeta, an Albanian lyric singer.

Kozeta was married to another Italian and for a long time the daughter bore his surname. Only after he died did Kozeta file a lawsuit to give Alba the paternity of her real father: Vitorio Sgarbi.

Of course, the controversial art critic, known in Italy for many such adventures, initially refused to acknowledge paternity and the matter went to court.

For Sgarbi's lawyer, Giampaolo Cicconi, this case was different from the others because "the girl had a father". Sgarbi himself made fun of this story. For the daily Il Messaggero he said a few years ago: "I have about 40 children like this: 4 in San Severino, 8 in Salemi where I am mayor, but all unknown". While about the 13-year-old girl he defined: "I know her very well, at first glance she might look like my daughter. She is charming. Her mother calls me from time to time, she even brings me to see her. When I meet the girl I tell her that she could become an excellent nun, so she gets scared and doesn't come to see me for a year".

But in the end, the mother, Kozeta, won the case, Vittorio Sgarbi began paying his daughter 2200 euros in pension and gave her his last name. They even posed together for the Italian weekly magazine "Chi" in 2016. Sgarbi has shown that he feels happy for his three children (in addition to Alba, the art critic has also legally recognized Carlo, 28, and Evelina, 16), also expressing pride in having an Albanian daughter.

"I hit the mark. The children have become very good. Thanks to their mothers for being ladies. Alba, my last daughter, could not be better. She is beautiful, elegant, serious and will only get married in church, preferably soon. And then she is Albanian, the people I prefer. I have always protected Albanians from the bad press, also for this reason I have an Albanian daughter."
