A few weeks ago, a message shared by actor Arben Derhemi was misunderstood by the public after everyone remembered that it was about the passing of the legend Mehdi Malkaj.
But what is it like to participate in your own death? This was one of the questions addressed to Albanian acting giant Mehdi Malkaj this Tuesday in the Quo Vadis studio of moderator Pranvera Borakaj on Vizion Plus.
Laughing, Malkaj said that he had received hundreds of phone calls and messages, and that there were those who were alarmed, but when they realized the truth, they started laughing too.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Malkaj: I myself realized later what these people were consoling me for. It was the second time I had died. Ben was very gentle, about the incident that happened, he made this joke to that little child: It's bad to have children and it's bad not to have children, it's bad to have children because they'll kill them. It's bad not to have children. It's bad to have children here and it's bad abroad, a big drama for Albanian parents. My wife called me on the phone, stay calm, I told her I was alive. My brother in Italy, my brother in Greece, everyone was on alert. They were very worried. They had taken a bit of crying. Stay calm, I told them, that it hasn't come to me yet.
Borakaj: Did you read the comments?
Malkaj: No, because they were the same thing, living on your own.
Borakaj: Did you know that they loved you very much?
Malkaj: I understood that they loved me. Even though they were tragic, the number of messages was large. Those who called me understood quickly, they told me, "You ruined our lives, you killed us."
