Dude Balja, a member of the Kosovo Assembly, called the administrative order that does not allow girls to wear headscarves in school unfair.
In an interview for Euronews , Balja said that for Muslim girls the headscarf is a way of life, it is something natural that they should not be deprived of.
" Religion in Islam is not done with violence and pressure, for them it is something normal. They don't know how to live without a headscarf, at the end of the day we have a child who lives with a headscarf at home and we tell him if you want to be educated, you have to take off the headscarf ", said Balja.
Deputy Balja described the prohibition of the headscarf for Muslim girls as a violation of human rights, for whom, as she said, the headscarf is a way of life.
According to her, it is unfair to tell the child of a Muslim family that if you do not remove the headscarf you will not be educated.
