A period of life spent under the bridge, the brother of the pop star, Madonna,
Madonna and her brother Anthony Ciccone

Madonna's older brother, Anthony Ciccone, has died at the age of 66. The sad news was announced through a post on social networks by musician Joe Henry, married to Madonna's sister, Melanie Ciccone.

"My brother-in-law, Anthony Gerard Ciccone, passed away last night. I have known him since I was 15 years old. Antony was a complex character. And God knows. We have fought at times, as true brothers do. But I loved him" , he writes, without revealing the cause of death.

Ciccone had struggled with alcoholism for years and had been homeless, even reportedly living under a bridge in Michigan for a time.

He didn't go well with Madonna at all. They had a "complicated" relationship and often fought with each other.
