The ritual of drinking coffee is already an integral part of the daily routine. But after this news, you will surely continue to drink even more coffee.
Recent studies have shown that there are also some long-term benefits to our health.
Consumption of moderate amounts of coffee can reduce the risk of premature death by 31%. The researchers noted that of the 170,000 Britons who took part in the study, those who consumed two cups of coffee a day were 16-215 less likely to die than those who did not drink coffee.
A team from Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China checked UK Biobank data over a time span of up to 7 years, for the group without heart disease or cancer. They concluded that moderate coffee consumers, (1-3 cups per day) have a lower risk of premature death, cancer or heart disease.
The interesting part was that those who drank sugar-free coffee were 29% less likely to die than non-consumers. Meanwhile, those who add a tablespoon of sugar, the chance increases to 31%. This research is attached to a study published in March that proved that coffee brought heart health benefits.
