Top Channel news anchor Monika Stafa, invited to the show "S'e luan Topi", recounted details from her childhood and family life.

She said that her childhood had been beautiful, although difficult, after her father was imprisoned by the communist regime. The staff recalled the emotional moments during the reunion with her father after his release from prison.

Excerpt from the interview:

We were raised with extreme care and delicacy. Both parents were involved in our treatment. Perhaps we have reflected this further in other stages of our lives. I thank them for all those tragic events that they experienced and that we did not experience like them both.

You know that there were a lot of photos taken in the family, right?

Yes, I have more than 100 photos. My father had a holiday on Sunday. Every Sunday we had a banquet at lunch, and in the morning we would go to the Boulevard of Martyrs and take photos there every two or three weeks.

Let's dwell on the events that somehow marked your childhood.

First, in 1974, the uncle was arrested and sentenced to death, then the sentence was reduced to 25 years, and 6 years later the father was arrested because he went with food to check on his brother's health.

Were you little when your father was arrested?

I was 5 and a half years old when he was arrested, I was in first grade and my father was gone on the first day of school. I didn't understand, my mother told me that my father was on duty, but luckily for me the duty didn't last long and it was a very beautiful moment when I predicted how he would come because I had seen him in a dream. I missed him because I wasn't seeing him and I sent him letters but the letters were letters where I told him how I was doing, they weren't the kind that were going to prison. But in the meantime my last question was always: Why doesn't he come because I miss him? What keeps you there?

Do you remember the reunion with dad?

I remember the reunion. It was the beginning of the second grade, I was 8 years old. The house was full of people because at that time it was announced that he would be released from prison. He chose to come in the evening, he didn't want to come during the day. He was weak but he recovered very quickly. The house was full of people who wanted to meet him, loved him and couldn't wait to hug him. And of course I didn't understand anything. I thought my father was coming home from work and that was it.
