A British teenager has gone viral after arriving at her school prom in a coffin carried by her brother and father - before "coming back to life" on the red carpet.
Abi Ricketts, 16, caused quite a stir at Trinity Academy when she rolled up inside a coffin riding a black Volvo XC90.
She looked gorgeous dressed head to toe in a black lace dress, lace tights and boots.
After resting the casket on the edge of the carpet, the family broke into "Year Zero" by Swedish rock band Ghost.
At that moment, Ricketts opened his eyes and rose from the casket to loud applause from the stunned crowd.
"Everybody was cheering and hollering and clapping," Ricketts told Kennedy News. "They were all shocked."
The teenager said she always wanted to stand out and never "follow the crowd", seeing herself as different from the stereotypes.
"My teachers said it was amazing, they had never seen anything like it, it would go down in history," Ricketts added.
"I've never wanted to fit in. I've always wanted to be outside the box and outside the norm."
"I had a lot of people come up to me at prom and say the scene was great. Someone said if there was an award for best entry, I would have won," the teenager said. "People wanted pictures with me."
The girl said that she tried hard to rent a funeral car, but no one would give it to her.
She also failed to get a coffin. Instead, the girl's father modified a coffin they bought on Facebook by adding paint and a sheet.
