"They called me a traitor", Elhaida Dani talks about prejudices

Elhaida Dani, the artistic director of the 63rd Festival, has shared with the public her story of the battle with prejudice that has accompanied her personal life. She has spoken about the difficult moments she has gone through, describing her love, her fall and her rise after difficulties.

Dani explained how his love for Lediani turned into a huge challenge for him, as many people did not understand and judged him.

" Sometimes, it's not the lights of the stage that blind you, but the shadows of prejudice that follow you ," she said, recalling the difficult moments when her love turned into a reason to criticize her.

She confessed that even though she faced accusations and bitter comments, being called a traitor by those who did not know her, despite all that, she did not give up hope.

" There are moments in the life of an artist where everything you are, everything you have built, is put before a world that is waiting to judge you. Sometimes it is not the lights of the stage that blind you but the shadows of prejudice that follow you. I was in that hall, you remember, on that stage, feeling every step, every rhythm, and something happened that no one had predicted. I fell in love!

It wasn't an act, it wasn't a performance, it was a pure feeling. What was magic for me, for others became simply a reason to judge me and punish me. The bad thing is that you feel it very heavily, very deeply, like a heel suddenly breaking and you fall.

I too fell, I fell before the eyes that watched my every move, every step, every glance. Just three days were enough for everything to change, comments, insults, accusations, they judged me, called me a traitor, people who didn't know me, who didn't understand my heart, while I remained there fragile, broken, but I'm used to fighting.

"I grew up with the dream of winning. I grew up to be what my mother proudly tells me; this is my daughter! ", said Elhaida Dani.

Elhaida Dani and Ledian Agalliaj didn't win "Dancing With The Stars," but they won over each other. Although many judged this relationship to be born out of the dancer's broken engagement, the pair seem more in love than ever and closer to each other.

The dancer had entered this format engaged to Ditjona Bora, with whom he had had a love story for 7 years. At the beginning of the show, Ledian's ex-fiancée and Elhaida had a good relationship. On social networks, she even commented on the photos that the singer published from the stage with the dancer. But then came the couple's separation.
