The great American singer and actress Romina Power has published a photo with her daughter who disappeared years ago, asking her: "Where are you, my love?" Ylenia Carrisi mysteriously disappeared in the United States in 1994 and was declared dead, but her mother never accepted it.
Unlike her, the ex-husband, the Italian singer Al Bano, has said earlier that he is convinced that his daughter was dead and added that he knew for sure that drugs would cause the girl's death.
Through their joint career, the former spouses managed to build themselves as a musical duo for 30 years. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in 1999. The family was struck by a great tragedy when their daughter Ylenia disappeared. Ylenia appeared with them in the movie "Champagne in paradiso" when she was 13 years old.
The daughter has been missing for 30 years, her wish was to become a writer, so she studied in London. But then she disappeared in a mysterious way, which remains unexplained to this day.
She once planned to continue her studies, but decided to return to Italy and sell her belongings to finance a trip around the world. Her plan was to go to South America, where her brother Yari visited her on December 26, 1993. However, he discovered that she had left New Orleans for Mexico the day before, without informing anyone.
Her disappearance has not been clarified, although the police have tried to find her traces without success. A witness was said to have seen a girl matching Ylenia's description jump into the Mississippi River and shout "I belong to the water" before jumping. The Coast Guard launched a search, but without success.
In 2013, Al Bano officially declared the death of his daughter, but his ex-wife Romina never agreed with this. She returned to America believing that Ylenia was still alive. Romina Power has never stopped hoping that one day Ylenia will come home and for this she started numerous appeals through social networks.
