Friends, family and relatives escorted Liam Payne to his final residence a month after he passed away.

Former One Direction members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were in attendance, as were the singer's girlfriend Kate Cassidy and ex-partner Cheryl with whom he has a son, Bear.

Liam's coffin was placed in a white horse-drawn carriage while flowers were arranged to form the words 'son' and 'daddy'.

Simon Cowell also attended the funeral. He met and hugged the parents of the 31-year-old who died in the explosion.

Flowers were used to convey other tributes as well. Some were set up in the form of 10 bowls and a ball as bowling was one of Liam's hobbies.

A small crowd gathered outside the church, but admirers stayed away as a Reddit group wrote "memorials are for fans, funerals are for family".

Payne tragically died on October 16 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. An autopsy confirmed that he had suffered internal and external bleeding and multiple fractures.
