Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been at the center of some controversy after a statement made by a minor influencer.

Lil Tay, a 17-year-old influencer/musician, has revealed that Benzema has approached her on Instagram.

In a stream with another influencer, RaKai, she was asked about Benzema, to which Lil Tay revealed "he's in my DMs."

When RaKai insisted that she was lying, she replied: Yes he is (in my DMs).

Lil Tay has over 5 million followers on her Instagram, gaining popularity for her work as an influencer and musician.

Benzema has yet to respond to these allegations, who appears to be focused on helping Al-Ittihad compete for the 2024/25 Saudi Arabian Professional League title.
