Unexpected/ Barcelona court frees Dani Alves, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison for rape

He was sentenced to 4 years and 5 months in prison for rape, but the Court of Barcelona has decided to release Dani Alves.

The Spanish media disclosed the last decision of the court, where by majority of votes, the judges decided to release the former Brazilian defender.

Alves must pay a guarantee of 1 million euros. Also, the court has withdrawn the two passports of the famous former player, the Spanish and the Brazilian, denying him the right to leave Spain.

Alves is forbidden to approach the complainant at a distance of 1000 meters from her home, as well as from her place of work and any other place she frequents. Nor will he be able to communicate with him through any media until a final sentence is given.
