"Well, I did it!", Journalist Betty Newma arrives at Everest base camp

Journalist Beti Njuma together with the Albanian team and the one from Kosovo have arrived at the Everest base camp after 8 days of travel, which is located at 5364 meters altitude.

In a video posted on Facebook, Njuma says that he dedicates this achievement to his father, Shefki Njuma, a 17 November climber and youth coach of the Tirana club.

She says her father had undertaken the same expedition as she did in 2003 but due to health problems he had not been able to reach Everest camp.

"It is a great pleasure that after 8 tiring, difficult, exhausting days of this expedition with miles of walking we are finally with the Albanian and Kosovo team in the Everest base camp, at the foot of the world roof, at the top higher. It is a real pleasure to be here where thousands of tourists come from all over the world. I would like to dedicate this achievement of my life, my hobby, my pleasure, my passion to a very special person in my life. It seems from the t-shirt, I want to dedicate this climb to the Everest base camp to my father, the 17 November climber and the youth coach of the Tirana club, Professor Shefki Njuma. My father was on an expedition to Everest base camp in 2003, but due to health problems he could not come here, but: Well, I did it! A kiss for my two kids and a hug for mom. Love you so much".
