A tiny handbag measuring just 657 x 222 x 700 microns (or less than 0.0762 cm wide) sold for over $63,000 at an online auction on Wednesday.

The bag, which is barely visible to the naked eye, is fluorescent yellow-green and is based on a well-known Louis Vuitton design - but it is not a product of the luxury brand.

MSCHF, the group that produced the bag, claims it is narrow enough to fit through the eye of a needle and is smaller than a grain of sea salt.

American musician, producer and designer Pharrell Williams Joopiter also joined the auction for the bag, but it is not yet known who the buyer was, who preferred not to publish his identity.

The bag was sold together with a microscope equipped with a digital screen through which it can be viewed. So at least the buyer can see it.
