The Basic Prosecution Office of Prizren has provided details on the motive for Sunday's murder.

In the request for the assignment of a security measure for the 35-year-old, the suspect stated that the motive was a dispute over a dog fight.

"According to the prosecution's request, on 10.08.2025 at around 20:30 in the "Tusuz" neighborhood on "Lapidari" street in Prizren, the defendant EB, after a prior dispute, cunningly and taking advantage of the victim's trust, intentionally deprived the now deceased H.Sh. of his life, in such a way that he initially incited their dogs into a fight and after a short argument, the defendant suddenly and unexpectedly took out his knife and stabbed H.Sh., in which case the same was sent to the UCCK in Pristina, where he died from the wounds he received," the announcement states.

The 35-year-old, EB, is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Aggravated Murder" and "Unauthorized Ownership, Control or Possession of Weapons" according to the Criminal Code.
