Alexei Navalny 's widow has released a video statement about her husband's death.
Yulia Navalnaya accused Russian authorities of hiding his body, saying they were still waiting for traces of novichok, a nerve agent, to disappear from his body.
She has also vowed to name those involved in his death and why he was killed.
"I want to live in a free Russia, I want to build a free Russia. I will continue the work of Alexei Navalny ," she says, while adding: " Vladimir Putin killed my husband."
Her comments come after Navalny's spokesman said his mother and lawyer were denied access to his body at a morgue this morning.
Navalny, who was Russia's most prominent opposition leader, had been behind bars since returning to Moscow after recovering in Germany from nerve agent poisoning in 2021.
He died at an Arctic penal colony on Friday, with authorities claiming he collapsed after a walk.
The Kremlin has denied involvement in his death.
" Hello! I am Yulia Navalnaya ,
Another person should be here in my place, but that person was killed by Vladimir Putin.
Somewhere in a prison beyond the Arctic Circle, Putin not only killed Alexei Navalny as a person, he wanted to kill our hope, our freedom, our future.
We know exactly why Putin killed Alexei three days ago. We will tell you soon.
But the most important thing we can do for Alexei and for ourselves is to keep fighting.
I call on you to stand by me. To share not only the sorrow and the endless pain that has enveloped us and does not let go.
I also ask you to share the rage and hatred for those who dared to kill our future. I speak to you in the words of Alexei, in which I truly believe.
There is no shame in doing little, it is shame in doing nothing, in allowing yourself to be frightened.
What we need is a free, peaceful and happy Russia. The wonderful Russia of the future that my husband had so dreamed of. This is what we need.
This is the place where I want to live and where our children will grow up. This is the place I want to build together with you. The country that Alexei Navalny imagined.
This is the only way, no other, in which the unimaginable sacrifice he made will not have been in vain.'
