A serious incident took place in Brazil, where a man died while trying to enter a woman's house to rape her.

The man, identified by local authorities as Jacques Freitas, was under the influence of narcotics when he tried to force his way into the luxury apartment in Salvador, Brazil.

Shocking CCTV footage shows the assailant head-first through a glass panel, which left him bleeding badly with deep cuts, as he then gets up and goes to attack the woman.

The woman managed to escape from her apartment and towards the outdoor swimming pool of the apartment with the aggressor following her behind, as seen in the camera footage.

But as Freitas was chasing him, he collapsed at the edge of the pool, apparently from blood loss. Local media reported that Freitas died at the scene.

Police are investigating the case and found cannabis and other pills inside his apartment.
