A Russian tourist died this Thursday after being attacked by a tiger shark on a beach in Hurghada (Egypt).
The video of the incident went viral very quickly, showing the moments when the water animal rips apart the desperate tourist.
The visuals are truly harrowing.
According to Egyptian media, the attack took place in the waters of the Dream Beach Sheraton resort, when the tourist swam away from the shore and was struck several times by the shark.
Russia also confirmed the death of its citizen.
The attack was recorded on video by other vacationers, who shouted "Oh my God" from the shore when they saw how the victim swam and rose to the surface in a strange way, while the animal bit him.
The attack occurs in two phases. In the first, he punches the tourist several times. The second, deadly.
Sources quoted by the Egyptian newspaper 'Almasy Alyoum' indicate that the tourist was transferred to the morgue of the Hurghada General Hospital.
According to these sources, the attack happened because traders throw animal waste into the sea, so sharks come to the area to feed, smelling the blood.
