Aleksandar Vucic

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has regretted his accusations against Turkey yesterday regarding the arms deal with Kosovo.

He has made a 180-degree turn, after yesterday issuing strong accusations against Turkey for selling suicide drones to the Kosovo Forces, saying that they seek to destabilize the region and revive the Ottoman Empire.

"Yesterday, I reacted strongly, some would say harshly, maybe too harshly. I will always be a good host for Turkish President Erdogan... he is the greatest Turkish leader after Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Turkey's behavior is of great importance for the stability of this region. We want closer relations, the best relations with Turkey," Vučić declared today during a press conference.

Serbia has spent more than $1 billion annually for at least the past 7 years, increasing military spending to alarming levels. The Serbian government has purchased weapons from Iran, Russia, Israel, Turkey, and China.
