The candidate for president in the United States of America, Donald Trump, has made a statement about the president of Ukraine, surprising quite a few people.

Rarely, Trump has said that he "likes Zelensky", referring to his character as he recounted an incident from the past.

Trump said that when he was unfairly accused of threatening Zelensky on the phone, the latter denied that such a thing had happened.

Apparently, Trump has softened the narrative towards Zelensky, at a time when he received a lot of criticism with his previous statements.

 "I like Zelensky because, during the accusation they made against me, they said that I made a threatening phone call to him.

And when asked, he said, no, it wasn't threatening. It was a very nice call.

He could have played with this thing. But he didn't. He told the truth.

So I like Zelensky," Trump declared.
