The student from Skopje, Amira Selimi, was threatened by one of her compatriots regarding the initiative of opening a library with books in the Albanian language in the city of Bitola.

Several threatening messages were sent to her on her Facebook, where they accused Selim of calling him a terrorist. Selimi stated that he was not influenced by this and will continue to carry this initiative to the end.

For all those who will try to hinder him in this work, Selimi appeals to them that they will face the competent bodies.

"I have received several threatening messages regarding this initiative. They didn't bother me, but on the one hand, since I'm a woman, I'm emotional and I can't wrap myself up in this matter at the moment they called me 'terrorist'.

Am I sending weapons to Manastir or am I sending books? How can you call me a terrorist? I didn't answer him at all and he will send those threats to the police station, even though they won't be taken into account at all because I know what country we live in.

Even if I have other threats I will not give up. I am saying publicly that if anyone is going to encourage me to surrender, don't even try because it will fail. I have all my compatriots behind me who are supporting me. There is no power that blackmails me to stop me from this initiative.

Whoever tries to do such a thing will face the competent bodies, or specifically I think they will ask for help from the American embassy in North Macedonia to take into account these people who in a democratic state do such things", says the student, reports News time.
