Today, the Serbs of Mitrovica held a protest rally where they demand association. The day before they left the institutions.
Albanians living in North Mitrovica reacted immediately. They have placed the flags of Kosovo and Albania along the streets in the "Bosnian Quarter".
One of the organizers of this activity told T7 that with this action they want to show that the Albanians are there and have no intention of leaving the city.
"We have raised the flags with the market that we are here, we are not leaving", he said.
Meanwhile, a few minutes ago, the gathering of Serbs, called by Lista Serbe, ended near the statue of Tsar Lazar with Serbian flags in their hands and singing nationalist songs.
The head of the Serbian List, Goran Rakič, has decided to leave the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. This decision came after the meeting held with all those who work in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. The Serbs have taken this decision as a sign of revolt against Prime Minister Kurti's decision on license plates and the decision to suspend the regional director of the Police in the north, Nenad Gjurič.
