More than 20 people have been injured after a Ferris wheel burst into flames during a music festival in Germany near the city of Leipzig.

According to images circulated by foreign media, it can be seen that two of the wheel cabins caught fire.

The authorities say that the wheel caught fire around 21:00 local time, for still unclear reasons.

In their statement, it is said that four people have burns and other body injuries due to the incident, while another is receiving treatment in the hospital for a fall, after jumping from a height.

Meanwhile, among the 20 injured, 18 of them are in the hospital for burns and asphyxiation from the smoke of the fire.
