Quarrel between women

A flight to Brazil was plunged into chaos after a mass brawl broke out between more than a dozen women as passengers watched in disarray.

Video shows the women hitting each other and pulling each other's hair as cabin crew tried in vain to separate them in the chaotic scenes on a Gol Airlines flight from Salvador to Sao Paulo on Thursday.

The mass fight between the 15 passengers became so frantic and aggressive that one of the women involved ended up unconscious and had to cover her chest with her hands.

The flight attendants were caught in the middle of the melee, with the women leaning over the distraught crew members to punch each other.

The row reportedly broke out between the two families after a mother asked another passenger if she could switch seats with her child, who has special needs.

But when the mother's request was refused, she became angry and began attacking the other passenger, according to local media.

The video shows how the fight quickly escalated and ended in a mass brawl between a group of women.

Shocking footage shows a curly-haired woman trying to jump into the seats behind her to reach the other passenger - but she is held back by a male flight attendant.

Within seconds, another screaming passenger ran up to the woman and began pulling her hair and punching her repeatedly - the flight attendant caught between them.
