Osmani: We are disappointed with the treatment that some EU countries are giving

The EU-Western Balkans Summit is being held in Brussels today, with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani also participating.

Osmani expressed disappointment with the treatment that some European Union countries are giving to Kosovo.

"The main reason is that there is no progress towards lifting the measures for Kosovo, they are still in force. And, as we have seen the conclusions and expect to accept them, it does not seem that they will be lifted this December," Osmani told the media.

Osmani thanked the 2/3 of European Union countries that support the lifting of measures against Kosovo.

"And I am also here to talk and ask those countries that seem European to you by punishing 1.7 million inhabitants even in drinking water projects," she said.

She said that Kosovo has been applying for candidate country status for two years, but so far there has been no response.
