The attack on crime, money laundering and corruption in the north of Kosovo is already an important objective of the countries of the West. Following the United States of America today was the decision of the Great Britain to blacklist some persons and companies as part of criminal organizations operating in the field of goods smuggling and money laundering.

With them, the main protagonist of organized crime and corruption of politicians in the North of Kosovo is Zvonko Veselinović. Milan Radoicic, former vice president of the Lista Serbe party and accused of being involved in the murder of the Serbian politician in Kosovo, Oliver Ivanovic, is also on the list of sanctions. Part of the list is also Zhelko Bojic, former head of Kosovo Police Operations for the North, who is also connected to the murder of Ivanovic and is wanted by Kosovo institutions.

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has today announced a new wave of sanctions targeting corrupt actors and those who violate and abuse human rights, as well as perpetrators of sexual violence in conflict. This wave, coordinated with international partners, marks the International Anti-Corruption Day and the World Human Rights Day.

The list includes 18 people involved in violations and abuses of human rights and 6 perpetrators behind sexual violence. 5 other people have been targeted for their involvement in serious corruption and illegal financing. The package includes individuals and entities involved in a wide range of serious activities – including the torture of prisoners, the mobilization of troops to rape civilians and systematic atrocities.

" These sanctions demonstrate the United Kingdom's commitment to protecting free societies and the human rights of everyone, everywhere ," the British statement said.
