In Pristina, a solidarity march is taking place today in support of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and their fellow fighters who are in The Hague.
The protest was organized by the Platform "Freedom has a name" and has the support of political parties, civil society, the religious community and many citizens.
The founders of the platform "Freedom has a name", Eliza Hoxha and Ismail Tasholli, have stated that the former leaders of the KLA are not facing charges and court proceedings because of their proper names, but because their names are related to the war of Kosovo for freedom.
Describing the accusations as baseless and the delay in the investigation as unjust, the organizers of the march have called for massive participation.
"The truth of the Kosovo Liberation Army's fight for freedom is the truth of Kosovo, which we must all protect," said organizers Eliza Hoxha and Ismail Tasholli. The march "Freedom has a name" will start in "Zahir Pajaziti" square and will end in "Skënderbeu" square
The march is held a day before the judicial process against the former leaders of the KLA begins in The Hague.
