The Committee of the European Parliament for Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) today voted in favor of visa liberalization.
It is learned that 48 MEPs voted for, 7 against and 3 abstained. Now, it is expected that the EP parliament will vote on this issue, which has already proven in favor of removing visas even earlier.
After the vote in the EP, it is the turn of the EU ambassadors and the Council of Ministers to vote with a simple majority.
Then, the legal act must be signed by the representatives of the EU institutions: the European Commission, the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
Then, the decision must be published in the official gazette and the visa liberalization comes into force in the agreed term.
