Full post:
Dear citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,
Since I am in a medical treatment, and as a result at this stage of the treatment I need to have regular visits every month, and as long as the same can last, it is difficult for me, namely impossible now and maybe in the future fulfilling my obligations as a member of parliament. So despite my desire to continue with your representation in the Assembly, I have to inform you that I have decided to resign from the position of deputy. Consequently, I have just notified the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Glauk Konnjufca, as well as the presidency of the Assembly.
However, just like until today, I will continue the public engagement for Kosovo in the USA, especially in the American Congress. As a result of this commitment, I believe that the first achievements will soon be seen. I have full confidence that together with friends, people of good will, workers and visionaries, the cause of the victory of justice in Kosovo will triumph.
Anyway, let me thank the Vetëvendosje Movement for the trust, space, support and access to me, special thanks to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, who has really shown that he is ready and determined to solve the issue of war crimes treated seriously, we should not forget, all the elected representatives in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo who really showed that beyond political differences and daily politics, humanity can prevail in each of us.
And finally, the greatest thanks goes to the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, who by giving me the trust, gave me the opportunity and the honor to represent them in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
With deep respect, yours Vasfije Krasniqi!
